Sarah Freeman Smith is a Senior Case Worker at KMC Legal & Finance and a key member of our Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) team. With more than ten years of specialist experience in confiscation matters, she is known for her meticulous case preparation, calm approach, and unwavering commitment to achieving the best outcomes for clients.

Before moving into legal work, Sarah completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science and Management followed by a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science. This background gives her a rare and valuable perspective, especially in cases involving environmental considerations, planning or construction related issues.

Sarah’s early career included working alongside Katie McCreath, where she developed the high standards and attention to detail that still underpin her work today. Her return to the firm as a senior team member was warmly welcomed and she continues to be an essential part of the POCA department.

In the office, Sarah is known not only for her professionalism, but for her warmth, support and ability to bring people together. She is the person everyone goes to for reassurance, guidance and often a well timed dose of humour.
